bad day...

i had a bad day today...

i woke up at 3am because the heater was turned up to 25 degrees again..

I have a very high tolerence for heat.. i don't sweat a lot.. when i'm in Singapore, my friends would complain that it's hot but not me.. i'd still be fine with my cardigan... they sweat but not me...

But here.. i get so warm.. the room is so warm...
why can't CB2 buy a duvet? Why must she turn up the heater to 25 and enjoy the warmth in her room while i'm sweating in mine?

I don't even sleep under my duvet anymore.

I sleep with just my shorts and tee...
I had to leave the window open yesterday.. it's not very safe to leave the window open but i had no choice.. it's too warm for me.

Last night when i woke up.. i got so angry cos this is like happening every other day....

So.. i broke down and cry... i was just so tired and angry..

I complained to my friends about it..at 3am in the morning! They were surprised because i never feel warm or hot.. and if it is hot for me.. it's really hot for everyone...

And tonight, i called Mr Fat Fingers and told him about my day.. and how bad it was.. and then i cried again. I am such a wimp. but i can't help it.. i felt so angry... And he felt angry too.. he's coming in Nov... i can't wait.. cos he can see the shit that i have to go through.. so i know it is not really my problem. I am not difficult to live with, really. I just want to stay in a COOL and CLEAN environment...

Yeah anyway, tomorrow, i'm going to ask them to NOT turn up the heater to 25 degrees and keep it to below 20.
It is unfair for me to suffer in my room while you are sleeping under a thin sheet and not a duvet. And turn up your radiator for goodness sake!!

Let's hope i will sleep well tonight.. because i really need it.......

why don't you just tell them turning up the thermostat translates into higher utility bills?

Thrash it out with them. Make your point known loud and clear. Soft methods don't work? Use the hard ones. =D

naranja : sometimes it is so hard you know.. not enough sleep.. not enough energy to fight....

fat bitch : it will not work. because the rent includes utility bill. so it won't bother them...

yours starrily : yah i think so.. must use hard method already.. grrrrr

my alter ego : yah if it goes on i will ask the warden if he can put a limiter on the thermostat... and keep it at twenty...

Hey FF, you could try putting a bucket of water under the heater so your room don't get too dry. It might cool off too. By the way, it's probably good that you let it out. It's all accumulating in you. Hope things get better....

your flatmates are really...

Why dont you just scream in their face? I would, for one if im in your shoe.

Prolly result in awkward silence but better than feeling like a bitch, looking like a corpse and flying away when the wind blows due to inadequate sleep and the kitchen thing.

25 degrees is not hot but if it's confined within a small room, then it is. Is your room quite small?

Anyway, there are heaters that periodically blow/radiate out heat so the room won't feel that stuffy. I really understand that kinda situation because I went through it too. Or worst come to worst, move and stay in a single bed room!

FF, I am so sorry to hear about your flat situation. Brings back memories about the times that I was sharing which was not too long ago. It seems that you are going through what I went through, and I also called home everyday crying and thinking of moving out. But I had signed the contract and no choice but to make do. Do dry the water thing, what I used to do is put my wet clothes or towel on the radiator so my room wasn't that dry. If you need anything do e-mail me...you are not that far away.
Take care

Oh man...

Dry those tears of yours=] Complain to the warden if that is the case. These people are too senseless and irreasponsible. If i were you i would have probably go and set a fire outside their roomsso that they can keep warm *sniggers*

If you dun want to bring it up to the warden. gather those flatmates and sit down for a thrash out session on those rules.

Although i still think setting a fire outside their room is better way.(Remember to think of an alibi, guess in case *winks*)
Hehex.

defy angel : chances are slim...

ignorant one : i will try again and tell them not to do it.. i hope to shout at them too.. maybe when i need to vent that time then i shun bian hahahaahah

jayaxe : i am already staying in a single bed room leh. and paid rent already. and signed contract.. unless i can find someone to take over my lease.. if not .. hard to move out. and i turn off my radiator.. cos it is too warm for me..
my room is small. and got pipes running under it.. so is extra warm... can't help it.. but once the knob is at 20-25 or more i will sweat..

Lynn : thank you so much :) I will try it..

bittersweet : the fire sounds good.. hahahaha

anon : why should i give it to her? why can't she get her own?!?!?! If she can afford to have pizza every other day, she can afford to get a duvet for £9.99. Plus, i roll up my duvet and treat it as a bolster hahahaha

lynne : i have thought off pulling out the knob at night and fix it back every morning!! :D
