My flatmates...

- like to leave "skid marks" on the toilet bowl! grrrr...
- didn't clean the stove after cooking.. so it can be quite oily and dirty
- used my wok (they want to share with me) and yesterday the wok was rusty!! I had to clean it up!

I am going to charge them for the things that they are going to share with me. I will have to set up house rules too...

1. Please clean up after yourself
2. .....

er i am stuck now.. what house rules should i have??

I understand how you feel. My housemates like to use my sponge for washing up dishes but never bother to squeeze it dry afterwards. Annoying!!!

oh no! they sound like a horrible bunch! is there a duty roster in place? do you all take turns to do chores? i HATE skid marks! i make my housemate clean it up if i see them! i very not shy.

but i think having the internet helps... escape for awhile.

take care, fat fingers! it can get lonely and homesick... but at least the Boyfriend will be back!

I got a feeling you're gonna rename this blog to 'I Have Fat Fingers and I Hate My Room-mates!' ;)

my advice to u ... dont even bother to share your things with them! the brits are known to be lazy and love free-riding. What i did when i was in uk (so did all my singaporean friends), i put all my sauces, pots and pans, plates in one box and keep them in my room or cabinet ( only if there is a lock!!). I will only bring them out when I am cooking. Else, everything goes back inside my room. Look a bit selfish but when nasty things start to happen ike rice cooker being spoilt by others, soy sauce emptied when u didn't even use it for long, u will be glad that u keep your stuff away.

I assume u r staying in a hostel... there will always be such problems. Just close one eye, stove can be dirty as long as u have a clean pot to use.
as for the toilet bowl, maybe u might want to dedicate one toilet each for boys/girls only. i find it's usually the boys who are not very taught about "toilet etiquette".

Good luck!

Oh no, you must be in halls.
Oh well the joys of halls..good if you get along with other ppl, hellish if you don't and they tread on your toes.

Oh well, but good suggestion earlier that you keep your own stuff in a box/cupboard and most importantly label your food in the fridge!..

How's it up in Leeds?

It's always like that when you live with anybody. The best thing to do is just to tell them nicely.

oh ya, one more issue of major annoyance which happened to me today. people who refuses to put their milk on the shelves at the side of the fridge and insist on putting in lying down. THE MILK DRIPS. EEKS.

eh..used to study here, but now bumming about in london till i go home.

well, if u are ever in london, come bum at portobello market, as i live kind of close to it.

long story short, one of my hk flatmate's room was like sg. everytime i go into her bedrm, i will start sweating. and when she comes into my room, she will say its very cold.

oh, and they did start stealing my food, esp. my ice cream.
